AN ELEVATED DRIVER
Frederick Emptage of Margate, was charged with being drunk whilst in charge of a horse and carriage in Harbour Street on the previous evening.
P.C. Williams proved the case, and the defendant explained in defence, that a mixture of beer and whisky had affected his head.
Fined 5 shillings and 8 shillings costs.

Frederick Daniel Emptage, a single man age 26, and son of Daniel Emptage and Mary Ann Matilda (Dixon).
