TEST MATCH LATEST
Leslie George Emptage, a newsboy of Flora Road, Ramsgate, is alleged to have shouted continuously for a quarter of an hour at the Market Place.
P.C. Duncan noticed defendant standing outside a tobacconist’s shop at the Market-place at 12.15 a.m. on the afternoon of 25th July.
At half past twelve he was still shouting in a loud voice.
Defendant pleaded guilty when he was summoned at the Borough Police Court on Monday. The Clerk (Mr J. Thorn Drury): The 25th, that was the first day of the test match.
A fine of 10 shillings was imposed.
