Thomas Emptiage 1509 of Minster-in-Thanet.

Dated: 24 March 1509
Place: The Church of the Poor Priests, Canterbury
Wife: Alice Sampson
Other: Thomas Sampson (present husband of Alice)

Administration of the goods of Thomas Emptiage late of Minster-in-Thanet to
Thomas Sampson and Alice his wife, late widow of the aforesaid Thomas Emptiage,
the inventory to be exhibited at the next session of the court.

Afterwards the administrator exhibited an inventory for the sum of £4 8s 8d and paid 12d for himself. And they have to account concerning the administration in the next [court] session after Whitsun.

Act of Admin. summarised from Latin document: PRC3/2/125 held at the K.H.& Library Centre, Maidstone.

Notes:

1. We know from the will of Christina (d:1497) that the wife of her son Thomas, was called
Alice. Therefore it is not unreasonable to assume that this is the same Thomas.
